It turns out that getting back into writing after not being able to for a few months is harder than I had hoped. (I may or may not have also used this week’s mental spoons for working on my book and the magazine I write for instead 😉 ). So while I do not have a normal post for you today, I am delighted to do the Mystery Blogger Award! I was tagged by the wonderful Tasha over at Pain Warrior Code. Be sure to check out her blog (and really more than that, the community she is building over there and on social media).

What is Mystery Blogger Award?
“This is an award for amazing bloggers with indigenous posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging and they do it with so much love and passion.” – Okoto Enigma

3 Things About Myself

  1. My best friends live all over… Florida, Washington, Minnesota, Iowa, Australia… and some of them I’ve never met in person.
  2. I am a Bright Lights leader.
  3. I once interviewed Jamie Grace via email for the magazine I write for.

My Nominees:

My 5 Questions to Answer:

1) what made you want to start blogging?

The first blog I was apart of I don’t even really consider a blog even still. We call it a magazine, and one of my co-founders started a blog for it to post our monthly issues on… which is how I learned to blog. Then someone read my writing there and invited me to write for another group blog. Eventually, I started my own to focus on writing about faith in chronic illness. I didn’t start out to blog. But as I grew in my love of writing and new opportunities opened up, one thing led to another. (psst, you can find all of the mentioned platforms on my connect page 😉 )

2) as this award is about blogs that inspire and motivates – do you as a nominee have a mantra, proverb or saying that you live by?

I suppose “His grace is sufficient” from 2 Corinthians 12:9 would count, right? Or we could go with, “He’s making diamonds”. 🙂

3) if you had to choose one meal that you had to eat every day for a month (without any health consequences), what would it be?

Pizza, perhaps?

4) what is your favourite hobby/pass time?

Writing!

5) What’s the best / worst practical joke that you’ve played on someone or that was played on you?

Thanks to my dad, there are many good ones we could recount. Funnily, my favorites both involve my Grandma… the first involved a fake lottery ticket, and the other one, a hidden speaker and a gas noise making app. Some other memorable ones with other people all seem to involve cellophane used for various purposes.

5 Questions For My Nominees

1) Why do you love to write? (assuming you do 😉 )

2) What are things that you are passionate about?

3) What was the last historical figure you read about?

4) What was a time that you or someone else accidentally did a typo that proved to be hilarious (or embarrassing)?

5) If there was one place in the world you wouldn’t live, where would it be and why?
