So . . . I like books. (Major understatement.) One of the best questions you could ask me is what books I’d recommend. Awkward silences eliminated. You didn’t ask, but I’m going to tell you a few anyway — there’s a sale, read at your own risk. 😉
The good news is that all of these are either free or 99 cents. At least, until midnight today. When I told my friend about the sale, she wanted me to give her hints about what books were going to be on sale. Her excuse was she needed extra time to choose. (After all, there are 150 books in the sale.) Of course, she’d already been up and finished book shopping and book choosing before I’d even gotten online in the morning. But I thought I’d give you some suggestions anyway. Not everyone is as good at choosing books as my friend.
- Martin Hospitality by Abigaiyle Claire – Though this book deals with some heavier topics, the author does it with such tact and purity. It’s a beautiful story, and I am excited for the next book to come out. *stares pointedly at the author*
- Rose of the Oath by Hope Ann – I was delighted to be a beta reader for this Beauty and the Beast retelling, and it’s my favorite of all of Hope Ann’s creative fairy tale novellas. [FREE]
- Twinepathy by C. B. Cook – This is such a fun modern-day superhero story, and the second book doesn’t disappoint either.
- Resistance by Jaye L. Knight – Read this. That’s all I have to say. These books are so deep and they always touch my heart. The characters each are so precious, and Jaye is such a talented writer. But be warned . . . get this one and you’ll want to read the rest of the Ilyon Chronicles too.
- The Reluctant Godfather by Allison Tebo – This was such an adorable and unique Cinderella retelling. Can’t wait for the next book!
- Dare by Tricia Mingerink -This. series. is. so. good. So good. The characters are the best part. Every time I reread it I relate to a different one more. The first three books in particular . . . so good. Plus, she has a new one coming out in a matter of weeks!
- Suit and Suitability by Kelsey Bryant – Gah! I loved this book so much! It made me love Sense and Sensibility even more and was my favorite of the Second Impressions books series. Marianne as an aspiring actress was just perfect.
- London in the Dark by Victoria Lynn – This one is a fun mystery.
- Kiera by Kate Willis – I still can’t get over how much I love this book. I’ve read it twice, and can’t place my finger on it. But it’s a well written dystopian with a non-typical strong female character. It made me laugh. It made me cry.
- The Thief, The Damsel, and The Dragon by Angela Watts – Angela was one of my alpha readers for He’s Making Diamonds, and the cover for this short modern-day novella is beautiful.
Well… that was hard to limit. And they are in no particular order . . . that would be too difficult. But go head over to the sale site for a TON more! (Like, did I mention the 150 books on sale for less than a dollar? And some of which are totally free?) Also, my book is also on sale!!! The ebook is down from $8.99 to $2.99, and the paperback should soon kick on and go from $10.99 to $7.99 (soon… apparently I’m having first-time author issues and Amazon is still processing my price change).
