Hello there! Guess what? The month of May is Mental Health Month. Mental health is definitely something that is a concern of people with toxic black mold, Lyme disease, and chronic illnesses in general. However, I haven’t really said much about it on this blog yet, have I? I realize that it is a rather large omission on my part. But that’s just it: it’s such a huge topic, with so many facets! I also have to confess, that I haven’t addressed this topic much yet because It’s one of the hardest topics to talk about, and I still rea struggle with it myself. I’m still sorting through everything to, and I’m not full of a bunch of cut and dry answers. I know clearly, however, that it needs to be addressed; both for me, and for everyone else who’s in my position. I recently did a quick search for blog articles, and specifically Christian articles on these impossible mental trials. There actually weren’t many for say, Lyme irritability. All that to say, this topic intimidates me! I just don’t know where to start! Therefore, I’ve decided to just dive in, and devote this month, Mental Health Month, to all things that have to do with the mental battles that come with Lyme and mold.
From brain fog to irrationality there are so many varieties. Here I want to list some of the varieties I have experienced, which I will be going into in more detail in future posts. First, though, I have a few more thoughts to share. 😉
Okay, here it is, one of the most important things about mental troubles: they are caused by your sickness. And it is possible to help them.
It was incredibly scary when I began to lost my hold on my mind. Even when it got better for a time, it was still scary all over again when it began to struggle again. I know what it feels like. But you will be okay. And it is possible to help, for it to even heal.
Great! Now that we got that cleared up, let’s move on to see what’s next.
- Dory days, Brain Fog, and Fibro fog
- Burning Brain, and Brain fevers
- Emotional Chemical Reactions
- Lyme Irrationality
- I’ve Gone Mad!
- Noise and Lights
- Depression
And more. 😉 These are the things that we will be getting into this month, or at least, touching the surface on. Talk to you more soon!
Happy Mental Health Awareness Month!
You can do this, Sara! Also, May is Lyme Disease Awareness month!! The Facebook page ‘Slice Of Lyme’ is doing videos and fun stuff during May… and my family is participating. 🙂 Also, the whole pie challenge- if you cannot do it (some people can’t do the food allergies), you can still challenge others! EVERY thing you do is amazing! EVERYTHING you do, Sara, with your heart, will be used for God’s glory. 🙂 Keep up with what you’re doing…. ♥
