When I was writing my book He’s Making Diamonds, I realized how much songs had influenced my thoughts and journey of faith through chronic illness. In each season there were songs that would become my anthems. Songs I would listen to when depression or anxiety hit. Songs I would listen to on repeat as I cried. Songs that helped me mourn the things lost by sickness, rejoice in the things gained through the pain, and helped me choose to stand in truth even when it was hard to see. Songs that my heart cried even when I had sensory overload and couldn’t handle any sights or sounds, let alone listen to music. Songs I listened to as I labored over the words that made up this book (that I can’t wait to share with you!)

So today I want to share with you the songs that influenced me as I’ve been sick and as I wrote this book. Enjoy! (And if you, too, can’t tolerate sounds right now, I’m very, very, sorry. Someday we can both listen without worry!)

Alright, my loyal readers. You guys are the best. And I have a mission for you. I need your help.

I’m SO excited to finally be revealing my cover and release dare for my book He’s Making Diamonds! (Even I haven’t seen it yet Joy ). The cover reveal will be on July 3rd. I will provide the cover, a book blurb, etc. for anyone interested in participating. You DO NOT need to have a blog to do it (though that’s awesome too) if you are willing to post it on social media instead. I’ll be doing a scavenger hunt leading up to a 3-book giveaway (each blog will post one of the clues… that way more readers will be sent to your blogs from all the other ones).

Sound good? Anyone who wants to participate can sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/BF88kF1nU26z4Y093
