Hello everyone! Today I have the privilage of intervewing the wonderful new author Angela Watts! Please join me in celebrating her debut book, which came out July 4th!
Hi Angela! How would you describe your new book in emojis?
Oh, boy. So many to choose. Let me try… I HAVE NO IDEA. I tried. *laughs*
Hehe, looks fun! How does it feel to be publishing your debut novel?
I am excited and nervous though I’m praying through the jitters. š Mostly, I’m grateful to God for showing me so much through writing this novella! I praise Him for His goodness. Publishing is a blessing… I pray this story helps someone. š
That’s so awesome. I’m sure it will. Do you have favorite characters, or is that a secret?
Alright, y’all, don’t tell Ed this but… Sean might be my favorite… š But you didn’t hear that from me!
My lips are zipped (despite the fact that I’m publishing this on the internet for all to see, but we’ll ignore that for now š ). Were any of your characters based off of real people?
Not exactly, no. Besides the kiddos, haha! However, I did name the female heroine, Lucy, after my great-grandmother. š
Aw, that’s neat! What ways have you seen God working through your book?
For me personally, I’ve learned or relearned a thing or two about forgiveness… And that no matter how hard we work, that doesn’t promise an easy life, but God does assure us He will bless those who seek Him. That is very important to me! I pray this book is a light to others and God uses it as He wills!
Ooo, forgiveness and trials are tricky but so important! If you could tell someone who was chronically ill anything, what would it be?
You are loved. You are loved by the Lord who created you in His Image. You’re loved by people — family and friends. No illness can take you from the Lord’s Hand, and His great plans for you ( Jeremiah 29:11. āFor I know theĀ plansĀ I have forĀ you,ā declares the Lord. āPlansĀ to prosperĀ youĀ and not to harmĀ you, plansĀ to giveĀ youĀ hope and a future.ā) cannot be taken away by Satan! This promise is for every single one of God’s children — Satan might try to break you with all he has, but he is weak. GOD is strong and so are you. ā„
Thank you, Angela! Congratulations on publishing your debut novel! I can’t wait to read it.
