I was determined to start this blog post with some kind of epic and mysterious fictional quote from the Lord of the Rings or something about secrets and surprises, but after ten minutes searching for the perfect one, I gave up. Nevermind that not giving up is like one of the biggest themes in the LOTR. 

See, as many of you know, there’s a project I’ve been working on for a very long time. But I haven’t told you much about it yet and now is the time for that to change. I have to say, I think I’ve done a very good job of keeping the details a secret. That’s a problem with me. I’m really good at keeping secrets, but it also feels torturous and I don’t enjoy keeping secrets.

Confession: I do enjoy keeping you in suspense now that I’m finally revealing all most of the details for Diamonds 2020, the annual online conference I’m hosting in January. (What? I wasn’t going to give you ALL my secrets, I still have a few things up my sleeve. ;))

What is Diamonds 2020?

Diamonds is an annual online conference for chronically ill Christians. Millions of chronically ill people battle impossible trials every single day. But so many of them feel so alone. The speakers of Diamonds 2020 want them to know they aren’t — not by a long shot. The theme for Diamonds 2020 is Fighting Together — all about relationships in the midst of chronic illness, from caregiver-patient relationships to spouse relationships to your relationship with God.

When is Diamonds 2020?

Diamonds 2020 occurs the last weekend in January — from Friday the 24th through Saturday the 25th. You can join live for as much as you are able, and if you miss anything you will still be able to view the recorded version.

Who is speaking at Diamonds 2020?

This year, we have even more speakers than last year, and each of these amazing people has a special message of hope and compassion to share with you out of their own experiences with long-term illness.

What does Diamonds 2020 cost?

Because we know that many chronically ill warriors face burdensome medical bills, and because our goal is to uplift instead of adding just one more thing, Diamonds 2020 is totally free. 

Where is Diamonds 2020?

Diamonds 2020 is completely online. We know that traveling with an illness is difficult, so we want to bring this right to you — even if if you’re in a hospital bed or are housebound.

As chronically ill warriors, we pay so much attention to our physical health, but our mental, emotional, and spiritual health is just as important, if not more so. Through this conference, we want to help you take care of those areas as well. It’s completely online so that anyone who needs it can participate — even if they’re unable to travel or sit up or be around crowds of people. And even if you can’t attend the whole event live, by registering, you’ll have first access to the recorded version.

I’m SOOOOO excited to share this with you all! Each of you helped to make this something amazing last time, and I can’t wait to see what God does through Diamonds this time around. Last time, we had ten speakers, 350 people registered to watch the conference live, and thousands more people watched the prerecorded version. This year, I’m praying that God would use this project to touch and encourage even more hearts and lives.
