The #1 obstacle I faced when I wrote my book and started my blog was lack of confidence in my health and in what I had to say.

Insecurity and feeling incompetent — not a fun duo.

  • Do I even have enough to say to fill a whole book?
  • Can I follow through and actually finish what I started despite my chronic illness?
  • I’m just a teenager, will anyone take me seriously?
  • Can I take myself seriously?
  • What if all the things I write about are problems only I struggle with?
  • What if no one relates or is helped by what I have to say?
  • Do I know how to handle tough topics well? So many people suffer much more than I do.
  • What will I do with my book once I write it? Indie publishing or traditional publishing?
  • How do I balance blogging and book writing?
  • What if my brain fog makes my book not make sense?

Comparison and way too many options left me afraid to even try.

People say to “just write” but sometimes it isn’t that easy. Doubts creep in — doubts that are highly personalized; doubts that motivational videos on YouTube don’t seem to fix.

I never would have made it through my first book — or my fourth and fifth books — without some pretty amazing and wise cheerleaders celebrating with me every step of the way. Who sent me virtual cookies when I cried through a tough section. Who told me my blog posts were helping people when I never saw a like or comment.

Over the past few years, I’ve been honored to help other writers lacking confidence tackle their goals one step at a time. I’ve laughed with them. I’ve cried with them. I’ve told them the hard truth. And I’ve cheered them on as they start blogs, learn to write articles, and wrestle through tough subjects.

Sarah is one of those people. She has gone from struggling to get a few hundred words together to being accepted at multiple websites and earning an internship at an excellent copywriting company:

“When I first started working with Sara I hardly knew how to write non-fiction. I thought I was terrible. In about four months she had me good enough that I got an article accepted on my first try submitting to a website that I wanted to be published on. They didn’t even ask for edits. I have come a long way and I wouldn’t be the writer I am today without Sara’s help. On top of that, she is very easy to work with. She knows how to give excellent critique without making you feel like you are a bad writer.”

Nicole was another one of those people. In just a few months, we’ve explored so many aspects of writing and platforming:

“I wasn’t good at writing consistently for my blog. I’ve had so many stories to share, but lacked the structure to put it together on my online platform. Since having Sara as a mentor, I’ve been more consistent in my writing and have been able to publish better articles on my blog. My readership has also grown with her encouragement and guidance. She is a blessing to my journey as a writer!”

Today, for only the second time ever, I’m opening up a personalized one-on-one program to help you take the next step in your nonfiction writing journey with confidence.

Here’s how it works:

  • Twice a month you and I will have a one-hour phone or video call.
    • Together, we will look at your long-term and short-term goals as a writer and determine exactly what to do next:
      • Are you ready to be published on bigger websites?
      • Which websites?
      • Is starting a blog best for you?
      • Do you have a nonfiction book idea? What should you do first?
      • Are you ready to start platform building?
      • What specific, practical steps do you need to take in your life to implement a healthy writing schedule?
  • You will be given 1-2 specific tasks to take away from each call and prepare for the next call.
  • You will have reasonable access to me via email at all times to ask any questions you may have.
  • I will give you experienced, in-depth critique on two blog posts or articles per month

There are only 5 slots.

First come. First serve.

The cost is $50 per month.

This offer ends in 5 days.

If you are ready to figure out what your next step as a writer is and take it with confidence, this is exactly what you need.
