It’s Christmas time. To many, the most wonderful time of the year. And it was for me all throughout my childhood. But when I got sick, it became a little more difficult. Chronic illness forced me to miss out on many holiday activities and traditions, and in addition to laughter, there were tears from the sheer physical pain.

I don’t know how you view Christmas, or how chronic illness has changed the holiday season for you. But I know that Christmas with a chronic illness can be hard. So today, I want to share some of the things I’ve learned over the years in hopes of making your Christmas season just a little easier.

Please enjoy this Christmas blog-post round up, and let me know your own tips, tricks, recipes, and encouragements that help you celebrate despite chronic illness.

I admit, I’m partially embarrassed to share some of these since some of them were written years ago in my writing journey — I’ve grown as a writer a lot since then. Plus, less brain fog. But oh well, I hope they can encourage or help someone.

Merry Christmas y’all!
